Wednesday 8 January 2014, 13:00CET/12:00 UK - Learn how technology can improve living conditions for pigs and their farmers through better feed, better life and better meat.
Students aged 14-16 years and their teachers are invited to join the second CommNet Education eSeminar to discover how technology including cameras, sound monitors, air quality meters, feed counters and weight sensors enable farmers to determine the well-being of their livestock. Learn about first results from four test farms in Spain and in Hungary and identify the benefits to the farmer, feed provider, abattoirs, retailers and consumers.
In addition, the session will provide students with insights into career opportunities in scientific and technological research in Europe.
The eSeminar is open to everyone, but will be of particular interest to students aged 14 – 16 years and their teachers.
The eSeminar has ended: thanks to all the participants to the live session. If you wish to watch the eSeminar recodring, follow this link.
