Heiner Lehr from the Coordination Team explains, “For a project like ours with limited resources, joining CommNet was a way to achieve much more than I had originally hoped for. It has been an immense boost to the reach of our dissemination budget.”
Signing up for CommNet training has driven the entire project in a more successful direction. Heiner says, “It made me realise the importance of designing an agreed dissemination strategy. I’ve since obtained the partner’s buy-in, providing me with a much better and focused activity framework.”
With our support, ALL-SMART-PIGS is also gaining profile with relevant public and private stakeholders: “I believe that public funded projects should attempt to communicate with wider society and CommNet provided the infrastructure to deliver our message.”
Heiner says the highlight of their membership has been initiating industrial stakeholder dialogues: “It confirmed that our project was timely and important, and a large German retailer provided us with real leads for post-project future work. Without CommNet we would have found it difficult to reach such prominent members of the business world.”
